Baby K | Pittsburgh Newborn Photographer

Anybody who has been around newborns before know that they come in all shapes and sizes.  This little guy was just 6 pounds, 7 ounces at birth and was closer to just 6 pounds for our session . . . I love when babies don’t even fit into their own skin yet!  Gah, I miss those days!!

I get asked a lot if sibling and families are included in the newborn session . . . and the answer is absolutely yes!  Having a new baby is such a momentous occasion and I want to make sure that each and every family member is part of the process.  Big sister was almost 3 years old for this session and her mom described her as a bit shy with new situations. Luckily, she’s also very sweet and loved being a helper.   With a little encouragement she warmed up quickly and we were able to get these sweet pictures.

If you are considering having the whole family in the newborn session (which I highly encourage) it may also seem super daunting to find outfits for everyone.  That is one of the reasons I suggest booking in your 2nd trimester so that we can work together ahead of time to get everything ready before baby arrives.  This mom and I talked about wardrobe several months before the session and she was able to find this sweet dress for her first born.  I also have several dresses for moms to wear so that they can take wardrobe off of their list of things to worry about.  If you are considering a session and would like to see the dresses I have available, just give me a call and we can set up a studio tour.
